The Pilates Method aims to re-align and re-balance the body's structure through gentle but focused exercise. It improves posture and increases flexibility and strength, without building bulk muscle. It is beneficial for those with bad backs or general injuries and for rehabilitation after surgery. It is an excellent form of exercise during and after pregnancy.
Studio Clients work primarily on resistance equipment designed by Joe Pilates to strengthen and stretch specific muscle groups. The equipment is versatile enough to benefit people requiring rehabilitation and equally those looking for a more challenging workshop. Clients work on their own individual programme under close supervision of the teacher. Sessions are restricted to four clients at one time.
