Ruth Walker

Ruth WalkerNorth West Londoner Ruth Walker describes herself as a ‘movement addict.’  A Cambridge English literature graduate and one-time recruitment consultant Ruth turned her back on the business world after having children, to follow her passion.

Trained in mat work at the Place and in bridgework at Pilates Yoga Movement, Ruth has taught at Triyoga; MindBody Balance and privately. Now teaching one-to-one session PYM’s Clerkenwell studio on Wednesday evenings she says: “I’m very happy to be back in the PYM fold as I really rate Anne-Marie and the teaching there.”

“I’m very happy to be back in the PYM fold as I really rate Anne-Marie and the teaching there.”

As a Pilates teacher she is very focused with how best to communicate with clients to ensure they get the movement right.
“A lot of Pilates teachers can be very movement focussed – not at PYM – they make assumptions about what people have understood. I can empathise with people who don’t always get, I was one of them. Perhaps it’s my background, but I’m really into getting that communication right.”

“I’m very happy to be back in the PYM fold as I really rate Anne-Marie and the teaching there.”
