Melinda has been actively involved in both team and individual sports since her early childhood growing up in Cape Town, South Africa.
In 2012 while recovering from a back injury she was introduced to Pilates for the first time and quickly realised the benefits that this brought her, particularly in terms of lifestyle and maintaining physical and mental wellbeing.
Melinda completed the Pilates Foundation Comprehensive Teacher Training working across all mat and equipment repertoire in 2018. During her studies, she taught Pilates as a volunteer to patients at the Royal Free Hospital. This is an area of teaching in which she continues to be involved.
Melinda has lived in London since 1998 and when she is not teaching, enjoys playing netball and tennis, creative cooking, visiting new countries, and above all else, spending time with her husband and two young children.
